Description

Sage Herb Seeds

The scientific name of sage is Salvia officinalis. In Pakistan, sage is best sown in early spring (February to March) or late summer (August to September) when temperatures are mild.

Preparing Sage Seedlings:

  1. Seed Preparation: Sage seeds are relatively easy to handle. Soak them in water for a few hours before planting to improve germination.

  2. Sowing: Sow seeds in a well-draining seed-starting mix. Cover lightly with soil.

  3. Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist until seeds germinate, but avoid waterlogging.

  4. Light: Place the seeds in a sunny location. Use grow lights if starting seeds indoors.

  5. Germination: Seeds usually germinate within 2-3 weeks.

  6. Transplanting: Once seedlings have a few true leaves and are strong enough, transplant them into larger pots or directly into the garden, spacing them about 12-18 inches apart.
